Who we are
Tall Talk is an 18+ community platform for tall people, offering discovery, connections, messaging, events, height verification and lifestyle content. Eray Dinç, trading as Tall Talk in Türkiye, is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For privacy questions, contact support@talltalkapp.com.

- Photos and content: profile photos, photo crop choices, messages, event details, event attendance, reports, written height concerns and private height-review evidence you choose to submit.
- Height-integrity administration: a moderator's documented request for a fresh height check, the member and reviewer account identifiers, an optional linked report and the request date.
- Community activity: profiles you view, pass, connect with or block, connections, message status and event participation.
- Device and notification information: an app-specific Apple Push Notification service token linked to your account when you enable notifications.

Height verification and camera data
When you choose height verification, Tall Talk uses the iPhone camera, ARKit and available depth information to estimate height. Camera frames, body-pose observations, depth maps and room scans are processed on your device for the verification session and are not uploaded to Tall Talk. We may store your declared height, verification status and verified measurement result with your profile.
If a completed camera measurement is below the membership threshold, you may separately choose to submit two or three recent full-body photos and an explanation for human review. These voluntarily submitted files are not part of the on-device camera session. They are stored in a private area, never displayed on your profile or to other members, and can be accessed only by the Tall Talk owner and specifically assigned reviewers while your appeal is open. A final decision ends reviewer access and queues permanent deletion of the files, with retries if deletion fails. We may retain the appeal reason, decision, reviewer note and dates for account history, dispute handling, security and fraud prevention.
Another member can confidentially report a concern about your displayed height. An owner or assigned moderator can also request that you measure again without a member report. These processes use the written concern or internal reason, account identifiers, the displayed and saved height facts, and review dates. They do not create or upload a photograph from your measurement session. A concern or recheck request does not automatically remove a badge, change Premium, restrict an account or decide your separate photo-supported appeal. You can measure again from Profile and, when eligible, request your own private height review.
A moderator reviewing an open profile report may see the reported profile and its existing profile photos. An unrelated height concern does not give access to your private appeal photos. The member who is reported does not see the reporter's identity or the moderator's internal reason. Your profile may show a generic notice when a fresh measurement is requested. Read the Türkiye height-integrity notice.
Location information
City, Country and Travel discovery use your selected city or country. They do not display a city-to-city calculation as your distance from another person. If you use location to suggest your city during onboarding, that city suggestion is separate from opting into Nearby.
When you choose Nearby and apply it, Tall Talk requests When In Use access to your device location. We do not request Always access or track your location in the background. The app requests reduced accuracy, although iOS may provide a more precise coordinate if you allow Precise Location. One recent location and its accuracy are sent over encrypted transport to a private server record, valid for up to one hour. Other members cannot read your coordinates. Expired records are excluded from discovery immediately and are removed by a cleanup task scheduled every ten minutes.
Nearby uses both members' recent, unexpired locations and their reported accuracy to filter the selected radius. Where available, members see a rounded, approximate last-known distance, not an exact address or a guarantee of anyone's current position. Distances can change as people move. A missing or expired location is not replaced with a city-center distance.
You can stop Nearby in the app to remove your active location record. Switching to another discovery area does not itself revoke the one-hour Nearby visibility; the stop-sharing control remains available. If location permission is withdrawn, the app removes the record when it next detects that change while running; otherwise it expires automatically. Refreshing the results does not continuously collect GPS fixes. You can deny location access and use other discovery modes. Location is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Purchases
Apple processes subscription payments. Tall Talk does not receive your full payment-card details. We receive and store limited purchase information such as product, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, expiration date and App Store environment so we can unlock Premium features and prevent fraud.
How we use information and legal bases
- create and secure your account;
- operate profiles, discovery, connections, messaging, events and Premium features;
- personalize results using your preferences and selected city;
- verify eligibility and subscription access;
- review reports and height concerns, request fresh measurements when needed, enforce community standards, prevent abuse and protect members;
- provide support, maintain reliability and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the information and your location, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service you request or perform our agreement, to comply with law, to pursue legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention and service integrity where those interests are not overridden by your rights, or with your consent where consent is legally required. You may withdraw consent for future processing, but withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Adding weight is optional and requires your separate affirmative choice in Edit Profile. We use it only to store your entry and, if you separately turn on profile visibility, to display it to members who can otherwise view your profile. We do not use weight to assess health, verify height, decide membership, rank or filter discovery, grant Connect access, calculate profile completion or build analytics. You can turn off profile visibility without deleting the private entry, or clear the entry to remove it.
Sharing and service providers
We use Supabase for account authentication, databases, encrypted transport, private file storage and server functions, and Apple for Sign in with Apple, device services and App Store purchases. These providers process limited information on our instructions or under their own applicable terms. We may disclose information to professional advisers and competent authorities when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety or protection of rights, or as part of a lawful business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
Visibility to other members
Your profile details, profile photos, height status and selected city may be shown to eligible Tall Talk members. Optional weight is shown only after you turn on its separate visibility setting, and only to members who can otherwise view your profile. Messages are visible to conversation participants. Published event information is visible to eligible members, and hosts may see event participation. Reports and blocks are handled confidentially and are not disclosed to the reported or blocked member as your action. A fresh-height request is shown without the reporter's identity or the internal reviewer note. Height-review evidence is never member-visible.
Retention and security
We keep account information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. An optional weight entry remains until you clear it or delete your account; switching off visibility only hides it from other members. Private height-review evidence is queued for deletion at the final decision; deletion is retried if necessary. A fresh-height request appears in the member's profile for up to 30 days, and its restricted internal request record is scheduled for deletion after 180 days. The related moderation report follows the separate report-retention process. Short-lived Nearby coordinates expire automatically. Some moderation, transaction, appeal-decision, security and deletion records may be retained only for the period reasonably needed to resolve disputes, prevent repeat abuse, establish or defend legal claims, and meet tax, accounting or other legal duties. When a lawful purpose ends, information is deleted, de-identified or made inaccessible according to the applicable retention process.
We use role-based access controls, private storage, encrypted network transport and database security rules. Reviewers are given only the access needed for their assigned role. No online system can guarantee absolute security; if a legally reportable breach occurs, we will notify affected people and authorities as required.
Your choices and rights
You can edit profile information, remove photos, leave events, block members, sign out or delete your account in the app. Account deletion removes your Tall Talk account and associated profile data from active systems, subject to limited records we must retain for legal, security, payment or fraud-prevention reasons. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to learn whether data is processed, access or receive a copy, correct inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent and complain to a competent data-protection authority.
To exercise a privacy right, email us from the address connected to your account. We may request proportionate information to verify the request and protect the account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Age, international use and changes
Tall Talk is only for people aged 18 or older. Information may be processed in countries other than your own through our service providers, with the contracts and safeguards required for the relevant transfer. We may update this policy as Tall Talk develops. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
